The Genealogy Project
Many decades ago, my great aunt Winnie Winchester Crowe (pictured left) began writing a book about ALL of the descendents of Willoughby and Mary Wallace Winchester. She did all the research, typing, letter writing, traveling and telephoning regarding over 3,000 descendents -- all without the use of a computer. Winnie died in 1979 with her work unfinished. Her brother, Jackson, took the materials and planned to finish her work in his retirement. In 1996, he decided that it wasn't going to happen, and I "inherited" the project. As the descendents grow to over 6,800, and this website to over 3,800 pages, I could not do this without the use of the computer and the Internet. Maybe technology needed to catch up with this project for it to be finished! I plan to publish the book very soon.
