The Civil War

Civil War flagsThe Civil War (1861-1865) profoundly changed the people who endured it, including the Winchester family. The war had a major impact on the Winchesters, losing at least 13 ancestors. Most were young and single. All served for the Confederate Army except for one. Many of our ancestors served during the War.
